FIVE YEARS AGO, GOOGLE BECAME FOCUSED ON BUILDING THE PERFECT TEAM.

The tech giant charged a team to find out. The project, known as Project Aristotle, took several years, & studied hundreds of Googlers to figure out why some soared and others stumbled.

They scrutinised everything from how frequently particular people ate together to which traits the best managers share. The Googlers looked hard to find a magic formula, the perfect mix of individuals to create the prefect team.

Google’s data-driven approach ended up highlighting what leaders in the business world have known for years. The best teams respect one another’s emotions & opinions and allow all members of the team to contribute to the conversation equally.

It has less to do with who is in a team, and more with how a team’s members interact with one another.

The best teams, show they care & made sure that everyone felt like they belonged.

If you remember back to my last blog (click here in case you missed it) a critical part of the Connection Formula is to: Boost Belonging - show you care!
