In fact, it kinda hurt. When I asked myself “Who gets the best of me?” I’d love to say that without hesitation my response was “my beautiful family, who else?”. But if I am 100% honest with myself, I am not sure that’s the truth.
I was fortunate to meet Jane at a recent event that I facilitated in Regional NSW (if you haven’t been to Dubbo Zoo, do yourself a favour and go visit, it’s amazing). I always say that now I’m my own boss, “I’m unemployable”. See, I kind have high expectations of the leader I would be prepared to follow. Then I met Jane.
We showcased a sneak peek into what the future world we will be operating in might look like, trends in customer experience as well as the endless possibilities for the workplace of tomorrow. More importantly, the event aims to give strategies and tips to enable participants to future-proof their business and themselves to be ready for this next Revolution.
From an employee perspective, the competencies that got you here, won’t necessarily take you into the future. Whilst it is imperative that all employees develop their digital skills to keep up with the rapid speed of evolving technology, the human skills will be, just as, if not even more essential, in the future workplace.
Fair to say, with the onslaught of technology, artificial intelligence and virtual reality, the future workplace will be completely different to what we operate in today. Whilst this is sooper exciting, it can also be a little daunting.
